Wim, whose favourite place is behind the camera, enjoyed a long career with CBS before forming de Vos Productions with his son Marcus.

Marcus specialises in drone work bringing a view from the skies to projects that want a fresh perspective.

Wim has been a photographer since 1971 learning the art of taking pictures from master Photographer Henk Brusse. Taking this passion further Wim then studied photography. Having completed his studies Wim moved to South Africa in 1975 beginning his career at the newly established Garman network ARD, firstly as a photographer and then progressing to film cameraman; covering the Soweto Student Uprising was Wim’s first big assignment. Progression to news and documentary filming evolved from this point and from 1982 Wim began to freelance for NOS, ZDF, BBC, NBC and other international broadcasters and stations.

This was followed by the opportunity to work on 60 Minutes, 48 Hrs and show-side pieces for CBS.  Thanks to these coveted programmes Wim has covered almost every major event that has happened in the world since 1976.

From War zone coverage, presidential summits and Olympics to uprisings and high-profile interviews, Wim has won 14 Emmys, 2 Peabody Awards, 1 Athenagoras Human Rights Award and 1 Sigma Chi award and has also had several photography exhibitions in Europe.
